Tipster details Motorola DROID RAZR HD

Motorola’s DROID RAZR HD has had its spec outed by an anonymous source

It has been reported that Motorola’s RAZR MAXX HD, which was rumored to be shipping this fall, isn’t going to be launching after all.

On the plus side some purported specs for the company’s DROID RAZR HD have leaked out giving us something to look forward to, even if they aren’t quite what was expected.

Speaking to PhoneArena, a source claimed that the company had no plans to launch a RAZR MAXX HD, but spoke candidly about the proposed spec for the upcming DROID RAZR HD, which is expected to roll out this fall in association with Verizon.

The device will apparently be powered by a dual-core Qualcomm S4 chip clocked to 1.5GHz and, contrary to popular belief, it won’t feature a 13-megapixel primary camera, rather users can expect a standard 8-megapixel offering which will likely benefit from all the usual trimmings.

The tipster went on to suggest that rumors hinting at the device featuring  a 3300mAh battery were similarly wide of the mark, and claimed that the smartphone would, in fact, be powered by a 2530mAh cell – which is still on the large side, and given that the device is expected to be 4G LTE ready that’s no bad thing.

The device, which is slated for an October release, will run on Android 4.0, though an update to Jelly Bean is in the works, and it will also feature a 4.6-inch, 720P display and support for micro SD cards, but there is no word yet on how much internal storage users can expect.
