HP TouchPad’s price cut to just $99
In the wake of HP’s intention to discontinue production of webOS devices, the company is making deep cuts to 16GB and 32GB TouchPads
Well, it’s only been one day since HP announced its plan to discontinue production of webOS devices, but it looks like the company is already throwing its flagship tablet in the bargain bin.
PreCentral is reporting that HP sent out a memo earlier today asking stores to cut the price of the HP TouchPad to and 9 for the 16GB and 32GB editions, respectively. The date apparently detailed by HP in the memo is August 20th, but at least two Canadian retailers (Best Buy and Future Shop) have already made the cut.
At this point it is more than likely that a TouchPad price drop will soon make its way to the U.S. Right now though it’s about when and how much.
That said, will you purchase a TouchPad if the price drops to or 9? If so why?
